Great view of Chicago along Roosevelt. Just had to take this picture with my cellphone.

Occupy Wall Street has come to Chicago. The protest is not on the same scale as what is taking place in New York, but slowly seems to be growing. Today, the sound of plastic drums resonated up and down LaSalle Street.
The year is almost out, and for one glorious day the snow stops and the skies clear.

Chicago now has a giant eye gracing the corner of State and Van Buren (Pritzker Park,). This makes my daily commute to and from work much, much more interesting. The sculpture ("Eye") is by local artist Tony Tasset. My understanding is that each year there will be a new temporary piece in that spot. Public art definitely adds character to a city.
